The Challenge
With the need for a highly complex, manually built, engine assembly – with a limited number of operators on the line, the need existed for a multi-functional and practical approach on enabling operators to work together simultaneously
How We Did It
Jendamark designed and manufactured the manual engine assembly lines, powered by ODIN Workstation.
Final Results
- Multi-operator tool sharing enabled work on the same engine assembly, at the same time – with multiple operators
- Enabling flexibility to add and introduce new product variants
- Part tracking, traceability and process control, assisting to reduce defects by 30%
Other Benefits
- Dynamic and visual work instructions ensuring correct product and part assembly
- No-code line configuration interface, enabling ‘drop and drag’ process flow and assembly refinement changes
- The overall collaboration between hardware and software allowing for ‘single point’ access and control – as well as facilitating best continuous improvement practices
- Overall part tracing and tracking aiding to mitigate part recall risk
